The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.
It is very quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will determine how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of smart features. It's important to note that it incurs recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finished its work.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the necessity to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base comes with several control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping robot vacuum cleaners uk robotvacuummops up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy units.
